Spring is in the air! The weather is warming up, plant life is flourishing again, and the air is beautiful.
Coincidentally, spring is also considered the season of love, due to the increased production of dopamine in the brain. As the “happiness” hormone, dopamine drives us to seek out experiences or activities that trigger its release.
This is why fast food is so addictive – eating it releases a huge amount of dopamine, which makes you want to eat more and more!
Fortunately, you can get the same dopamine boost by eating healthy, wholesome foods. And if you want to experience the joy of the season of love in a cup, you’ll love this spring love elixir recipe!
This elixir is both grounding and uplifting, giving you that amazing dopamine rush while nourishing your body and calming your mind.

What is ashwagandha?
If you’ve never heard of Ashwagandha before, you might be thinking “Ashwa-” What?!

Ashwagandha is a tonic and energizing herb that has many health benefits. (1)
These include the following:

Health benefits of cocoa
If you want the flavor of chocolate without any added sugar, dairy, or extra fat, you’ll love cocoa!
Cocoa is the substance from which chocolate is made. Cocoa beans are fermented and roasted to produce cocoa powder or cocoa powder.
Before it is over-processed and turned into chocolate, cocoa is naturally rich in antioxidants, and is high in vitamins and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and iron.
Like ashwagandha, cocoa is a stimulant and tonic, and helps fight inflammation in the body.
Wonderful rose water
Rose water has so many health and beauty benefits – no wonder it’s become so popular lately!
Rose water has been used in cosmetics and as an ingredient in foods and drinks for thousands of years. It is produced by steam distilling rose petals.
Rose water is associated with helping to support and open the heart. It can also soothe irritated skin, is a good source of vitamin C, can aid in healthy digestion, improve your mood, and has anti-aging properties.
In addition to all these health benefits, Yogananda said that the sweetness of roses imparts the essence of divine love! What’s not to love about that? 😉
