How Glow Greens™ Powder Helps You Recover
After any workout, especially an intense one, your body needs more than just rest to recover optimally; it requires the right nutrients to repair muscles, reduce inflammation, and replenish energy levels.
Each component in Glow Greens™ Powder Effective in your recovery:
Spirulina
Spirulina is high in protein and amino acids that help in muscle repair and growth; its antioxidant properties also help combat oxidative stress caused by exercise.
Chlorella
Like its cousin spirulina, chlorella is high in protein and vital nutrients. Plus, it’s loaded with chlorophyll, which is known for its detoxifying properties. Chlorella is amazing because it helps flush out toxins that build up when you’re working out, making your recovery process faster and smoother.
Moringa
Moringa helps relieve muscle pain and reduce inflammation, which is exactly what your body needs after a good workout. Plus, it’s packed with vitamins and minerals that help strengthen your muscles and support them as they grow.
Ashitaba
Have you ever heard of chalcone? These special flavonoids found in Ashitaba are great for your muscles, fighting soreness and speeding up the recovery process. Not to mention, Ashitaba gives you a great energy boost, enhancing your performance and recovery after your workout sessions.
Amalaki
Also known as Indian gooseberry, it is a powerful source of vitamin C. This powerful antioxidant is essential for protecting against oxidative stress and boosting your immune system, which is crucial when you are in recovery mode.
The perfect blend of Glow Greens™ Powder
My favorite combination, which I absolutely love, involves blending. Glow Greens™ Powder With your choice of any plant protein, chia seed gel, and a ripe banana.
This combination is simple and easy to make, but best of all, it’s incredibly delicious and filling.
chia seeds
Chia seeds provide complete protein, as well as antioxidants, vitamins, and a variety of minerals such as calcium.
Chia seeds are high in omega-3 fatty acids and both soluble and insoluble fiber, which are beneficial for heart health and digestion.
I recommend using chia seed gel as it adds richness to the texture of the smoothie.
What is shea gel?
Chia gel is a simple mixture of water and chia seeds.
When chia seeds are mixed with liquid, they swell up to 15 times their size to form a gel that provides long-lasting fuel for your body and helps cleanse your digestive system.
How to make shea gel
For every tablespoon of chia seeds, use 3 tablespoons of water. The more chia seeds, the more water!
This recipe calls for 1-2 tablespoons of chia seeds, so you can mix them with 3-6 tablespoons of water if you are making chia gel when making the smoothie.
To prepare, stir the chia seeds vigorously with a fork in the water for about 45 seconds until they are completely submerged. After letting them sit for a few minutes, stir them again, breaking up any clumps, then pour them into a blender or storage container (for larger quantities, let them sit for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the amount of seeds and water used).
How long does shea butter last?
If you leave the shea gel in an airtight container in the refrigerator, you can make a batch that will last you about three weeks.
So, if you plan on making this smoothie every day after a walk or workout or as an afternoon snack to fuel you up, I suggest making it ahead of time and storing it for later use!
If you’re making it daily when you’re making your smoothie, just remember to give yourself an extra 2-4 minutes to let the chia seed mixture relax.
Shea Butter Benefits
Soaking chia seeds also helps extract the nutrients, making them even better for you!
I think getting the most nutrition out of chia seeds happens when you gel them, making them more absorbable and bioavailable.
Chia seed gel also helps you maintain proper hydration levels and replenish minerals lost during physical activity.
Chia seeds contain a large amount of protein, up to 15-20% of their weight, which is great for building muscle.
Protein and amino acids also help promote hair growth, prevent hair thinning and improve skin elasticity.
Because they are nutrient-dense and filling, they can also help reduce cravings and keep you on track with a healthy diet. I eat them daily!
Banana
Bananas are great for adding a little sweetness, but they also replenish energy and potassium lost during exercise, which helps with muscle function and recovery.
Many years ago, I wrote an article entitled for mepeople – What is nature’s perfect food? This highlights why I love bananas and sometimes eat three a day! I think they are one of the perfect foods for humans.
As you probably already know, bananas are high in potassium. A medium-sized banana contains about 600 mg of potassium.
Potassium is an important mineral and source of electrolytes. It is necessary for muscle function and digestion and helps balance the effects of sodium on the body.
Add these two simple ingredients to Glow Greens™ Powder Really enhances the flavor and nutritional value!
I think the real beauty of this juice lies in its simplicity, allowing each ingredient to shine and efficiently deliver its health benefits.
