How to make turmeric tea

Turmeric tea is very easy to make. You don’t even need to peel the turmeric first—but be careful, because turmeric can stain anything it touches (your fingers, your countertop, your cutting board).

Use a small 2-inch piece of turmeric for every cup of water. Simply cut the turmeric into thin slices, no more than a quarter inch wide. Combine the turmeric and water in a saucepan and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes before straining.
