I like to use a combination of spinach and kale, but you can use whatever vegetables you have on hand!
Other great options include Swiss chard, romaine lettuce, or turnip greens.
Is drinking green juices daily good for your health?

Tips and notes
- Use a high-speed blender. A high-speed blender is the key to getting a smooth, creamy smoothie.
- Use frozen fruit. You’ll definitely need frozen pineapple, but you can also freeze bananas if you have the time. The frozen fruit is what makes the smoothie so delicious and cold.
- Make sure the bananas are ripe. Ripe bananas contain a large amount of natural sweetness.
- Do not use ice. Some recipes call for adding ice, but I don’t recommend that in this green smoothie recipe. It will just dilute the flavor!
Differences
- Use another liquid. Make a thicker, creamier smoothie by substituting almond milk, coconut milk, or cashew milk for the coconut water.
- Add other fruits. Replace the pineapple with another fruit such as mango, strawberries, peaches, blueberries, etc. Make sure it’s frozen!
- Boost nutrition. I’ve already included the optional chia seeds or collagen protein, but feel free to add other boosters if you’d like. Try flax seeds, spirulina, maca powder, etc.
- Make it sweeter. This green juice recipe is naturally sweetened with pineapple and banana. However, if you prefer it a little sweeter, feel free to add a little honey or agave.
